About Riverside

Riverside is a historic village located in Cook County, encompassing a total area of about 2 square miles. Much of the village is located within limits of the Riverside Landscape Architecture District, which has been designated a National Historic Landmark. Surrounded by scenic nature, the Riverside community is essentially a village within a forest. The area boasts plenty to see, do, and experience— Riverside is home to a small but vibrant downtown, natural amenities unique to the town, local shops, and great restaurants. Residents much appreciate the village’s friendly sense of community, pleasant atmosphere, and clean environment as well.
